Description
Vidalista 40 mg is a higher-strength formulation of tadalafil, a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor prescribed for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED). Tadalafil works by blocking the PDE5 enzyme, which increases levels of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP). This process relaxes smooth muscle tissue and improves blood circulation to the penile area during sexual arousal, enabling a stronger and longer-lasting erection. Sexual stimulation is still required for the medication to work.
One of the key advantages of tadalafil is its long duration of action. Vidalista 40 mg can remain effective for up to 36 hours, allowing for greater flexibility and spontaneity compared to shorter-acting ED medications.
The tablet is typically taken 30–60 minutes before sexual activity and should not be used more than once in a 24-hour period. The 40 mg dose is generally recommended when lower doses are not sufficiently effective and should be taken under medical supervision.
Common side effects may include headache, flushing, nasal congestion, back pain, muscle aches, dizziness, and indigestion. Rare but serious side effects can include sudden vision or hearing changes, chest pain, or prolonged erection (priapism), which requires immediate medical attention.
Vidalista 40 mg should not be taken with nitrate medications or certain heart drugs due to the risk of a severe drop in blood pressure. Individuals with cardiovascular, liver, or kidney conditions should consult a healthcare provider before use.
